(opening with the track you selected ready to edit)Sound Forge Audio Studio software is everything you need for audio editing and mastering professional-quality audio on your home computer. Yeah, I'm gonna blame that on Sonar damn it! ) LOL! I get all nervous and jittery and now my leads and vocals suck. I never had a single crash in it, now I'm terrified to lay down a track. Hell, I'm regretting upgrading from Sonar 4 now.
It's frustrating to always be the paying guinie pig. They also went on to say in a different email that Windows 7 changed their OS at the last minute and that caused NI some headaches too. There's been nothing new since the official download was released for the Elite bundle through the Sonar 8.5 update. I've been "staying tuned" to their web site and there's nothing new. I also thought it was interesting that they said not to perform the 8.5.1 Sonar update. He said it will run on Windows 7 32 and 64bit but never said it was actually a 64bit program. > our website for further news about this matter. > would not recommend Seven (& Sonar 8.5.1.)at this time. With Sonar 8.5 there are a few reports of issues. There has not been enough time for Native Instruments to certify Subject: Re: Guitar Rig 4 running on Windows 7 64bit. Here is the email I got from them when I asked for clarification:
The 64 bit version of Guitar Rig 4 Pro has been out for quite a while.
We're hard at work on a 64bit version and you can upgrade then for a nominal fee".ĭon't know who you talked to at N.I.
It would also be 64 bit but it is not and crashes all the time making itĪlmost unusable. GUARANTEED TO BE 100% WINDOWS 7 64 BIT COMPATIBLE,
I assumed since Guitar Rig Pro 4 was bundled with a program that was I would close Sound Forge when I was done editing, it would ask me if I wanted to save the wav I was working with, I would say 'Yes', Sound Forge would close, Sonar would say something like, "Updating Track", and bang, all the changes I made in Sound Forge were magically applied to my track in Sonar. The way it worked before I upgraded was, I would highlight a portion of the track I wanted to edit in Sound Forge, I would click on Tools, Sound Forge, and Sound Forge would open and automatically load the selection I highlighted on the track.
It just opens Sound Forge with a blank screen. What happens on my system is, I load my tracks in Sonar, highlight a portion of one of the tracks to edit, I click on Tools, then Sound Forge, and it opens Sound Forge but doesn't load the track I was working on in Sonar. I just did the registry hack and it worked fine for soundforge 9 and 10 (win 7 圆4 w/ sonar 8.52 64 bit).ĭid you select a small portion of a track you had loaded in Sonar, click Tools, SoundForge, and edit the portion of the track you had selected? That's how it should work. My apologies if someone has fixed this and I overlooked the post. I searched the forums until my eyes bled and I couldn't find an answer to this problem.
You have to fix this or tell me how to fix it correctly in the sys reg. Sonar is absolutley and completely useless to me unless this feature works and I've just spent almost 2 grand for nothing. There is a SonarUtils program out there but it doesn't work with SPE 8.5. In previous versions you would highlight the section of the track you were working on, click on Tools/Sound Forge and it would edit and save the changes to the track. I did that, and Sound Forge appears in the Tools menu, but. I've searched the forums and everyone says to edit your sys reg. I HAVE to be able to edit these tracks using Sound Forge through Sonar like I did in previous versions but it appears as though I can't now? I'm currently using Sonar for ripping old 8 track recordings my band made in the 90's. We're hard at work on a 64bit version and you can upgrade then for a nominal fee". I assumed since Guitar Rig Pro 4 was bundled with a program that was GUARANTEED TO BE 100% WINDOWS 7 64 BIT COMPATIBLE, it would also be 64 bit but it is not and crashes all the time making it almost unusable. My previous PC was getting old and I figured it was time to make the jump. Example, the only reason I upgraded my PC to Windows 7 64 bit was the 8.5 upgrade said it was 100% Windows 7 64bit compatible and it came with Guitar Rig 4 Pro. First, Cakewalk should NEVER be bundling software in their Elite packages stating they support 64 bit when they do not. I have two issue's I'd like to get off my chest. Paid for Upgrade to Sonar Producer 8.5 Windows 7 64bit compatible bundled w/Guitar Rig 4 Proġ Pissed off wife for spending so much money and nothing working right and none of it's returnable. M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB Audio Module I recently spent THOUSANDS of dollars updating my home studio. Need official response from Cakewalk for getting Sound Forge 9.0 to work with Sonar 8.5
